Island Records -
From 1892 to 1924, more than 22 million immigrants,
passengers, and crew members passed through Ellis
Island and the Port of New York. The ship companies
that transported these passengers kept detailed
passenger lists, called "ship manifests."
Thanks to the efforts of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints, these manifests have been
transcribed into an electronic archive, which
you can easily search to find an individual passenger.
